Experience of dispensing systems including ensuring repetitive dose dispersion of fluids is something we have found ourselves involved with on a number of occasions. Our knowledge of products aimed towards the drink, nozzle and closely assimilated medical device markets, combined with our knowledge of fluid dynamics can help produce some unique solutions.

An enjoyable conceptual project, looking at integrating thermal monitoring strips into baby bottles. Only a concept project, we took the concept through to proof of principle designs and determined heat transfer that would exist. Thermal calculations were provided to depict temperatures and the time duration for heat to transfer through the dissimilar plastic materials of the bottle wall and thermo-chromic ink strip walls. An understanding of thermal properties needed to be acquired so as to specify the additives within the thermo-chromic display inks. We also looked at the user requirements vs cost benefits of this system compared to a thermally powered, sensor monitoring solution using a thermistor and electronic display which would achieve a faster time response and more accurate measurement display reading.
